James River Park: Make this Field a Flowerbed--Family Friendly!

The James River is the heart of our city: home to beautiful vistas, white capped rapids, and wildlife from eagles to sturgeon. Fields around the Reedy Creek area used to be filled with wildflowers. Help James River Park staff spread new wildflower seed to reestablish these species, beautify the park, and promote plant diversity. Help keep Richmond's parks beautiful for us and those crazy looking sturgeon!

Please dress weather-appropriately, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle.

There is no minimum age to participate. However, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in no more than a 2 children-to-1 adult ratio and be registered for the project online or by calling HandsOn at 804-330-7400 ext 132. All volunteers under the age of 18 must also bring a signed Youth Waiver to the project.
