Painting a 2nd Chance
OAR provides services to ex-offenders and helps each client believe in themselves and to recognize they deserve a second chance. Their building was built in the 1800s and the last renovation was done in the 90s. Painting the inside of their building will give the walls a "second chance" and a fresh new look. This project involves painting the client waiting areas, case manager offices, and classroom. Volunteers will also shred documents and the shredded paper is donated to Richmond Animal League for bedding for animals. There is also furniture that needs to be moved and removed.
Volunteers will:

If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project. The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.
Volunteers will:
- prep and tape
- paint designated areas
- shred documents
- move and remove furniture
