Resources for Caregivers

Issue: Health & Wellness
Beneficiary: NAMI Virginia

Purpose:
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Virginia was created in 1984 to provide support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families in Virginia affected by mental illness. Along with their community-based affiliates, they provide education, support, information, training, and resources, and engage in systems change policy advocacy. NAMI-VA envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness get the help, hope, and support that they need. This month’s DIY is in honor of National Mental Health Awareness Month and volunteers will be making “thank you” and “thinking of you” cards and stress balls for the families and caregivers of those living with mental illness.
