RVA Polar Plunge Winter Fest
Please note- The Morning shift is FULL. If you sign up for the morning, you will be added to the waitlist. You may still sign up for the afternoon shift from 1:00PM- 5:00 PM!
Special Olympics Virginia's BRAVEST fans will be PLUNGING into an icy above ground pool in February, and we need your help! Come chill with us at the RVA Polar Plunge® Winter Fest, Feb. 28 in Richmond. It's the coolest thing you'll do all year.
"RVA Polar Plunge Winter Fest," Richmond's coldest fundraiser, gives participants who raise a minimum of $50 the opportunity to take an icy dip in our outdoor plunge pool. Volunteers are needed to ensure the event runs smoothly...this might be the most unique event you'll ever see! This is Special Olympics Virginia's largest centrally located fundraiser, and it plays a huge part ensuring that Virginians with intellectual disabilities continue to have the opportunity to shine.
Volunteer duties include:
This opportunity is a referral and is managed by Special Olympics directly. Please express interest below to indicate to the agency your interest in participating.
All volunteers who plan to attend must express interest. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. - Assisting with plunger/team check-in
- Escorting Plungers to the pool
- Managing the Polar Plunge Village
- Serving as event managers
- Setting up and cleaning up
