Daytime Rally the ReStore
The Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity ReStore's work is integral to the mission of the organization as profits raised from donated items there go directly to making the dream of home-ownership a reality for their families. Volunteers will work in the different departments (i.e. paint, flooring, tile, bathroom, electrical, furniture, etc) throughout the warehouse and store with tasks like sorting, organizing, labeling, unpacking, merchandising, pricing. The store is not open on Tuesdays so this work is crucial in helping the store get ready each week. Some lifting may be required.
Parking is on the street or in the lot. Volunteers should wear clothes that they do not mind getting dirty or stained and must have on close-toed shoes. There is a break room that volunteers can use. Volunteers will also need to fill out a Habitat waiver. Those under the age of 18 will need their parent/guardian to sign it.
All volunteers who plan to attend must be registered. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our Volunteer with a Group page.
If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project. The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.
