DROP IN: A Birthday Card for All

celebrate! RVA is a non profit dedicated to celebrating the birthdays of underprivileged children. Their mission is to give disadvantaged children a memorable birthday celebration in a safe and fun environment. Volunteers will create birthday cards for each one of their birthday children. Every single child they celebrate receives a home made birthday card, just for them.

This project is Drop In. Volunteers can come at any time during the 9am-12:30pm window and are expected to work for no more than 30 minutes. This project allows those who cannot commit to the entire 4-hour-window a chance to serve (and it wouldn't work if everyone stayed the entire time anyway). Parking is free and on the street.

Volunteers will:
  • create and decorate birthday cards
Volunteers can further help by bringing the following supplies:
  • paper, stickers, markers, and other card-making materials
All volunteers who plan to attend must be registered. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our Volunteer with a Group page.

If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project.
The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.

Registration for this project will close 24 hours in advance.
