Volunteer Leader Training
Please do not sign up for this training if you have not already been approved by HandsOn.
All new Volunteer Leaders interested in serving in this next season of projects must attend this training for the entire time--it includes volunteer and project management, our web system: HandsOn Connect, and project simulations. Please bring a laptop with wireless access you know how to access with you. Let us know if you need to borrow a computer.
HandsOn Greater Richmond develops and manages ongoing group-based volunteer projects with our agency partners. The Volunteer Leader (VL) is the liaison between the agency, HandsOn, and the team of volunteers at each project. They welcome volunteers, help manage the project, and set the tone on these done-in-a-day projects.
The VL helps with agency communication, volunteer sign-ups, project management, attendance, and follow-up. As our strongest link to the community, Volunteer Leaders help to ensure that every volunteer has a positive experience and that the needs of the agencies are being met.
Meet our current Volunteer Leaders and see where they're serving!
