Global Youth Service Day

Global Youth Service Day, April 17-19, 2015, recognizes the positive impact that young people have to their communities year-round. Join us in taking part in the largest service event in the world! Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the only day of service dedicated to mobilizing children and youth. In 2013, GYSD was celebrated in over 130 countries and mobilized over 5,400 youth across the world.

HandsOn Greater Richmond is requesting applications for projects that will take place at Richmond area schools, parks, government agencies and nonprofit organizations during GYSD weekend. Projects must be submitted by COB Friday, March 20, 2015, and may qualify for a supply stipend.

-Are suitable for group sizes of 10 to 30 volunteers
-Are designed specifically to engage youth and families
