TeamWorks

TeamWorks is a community-based learning model that engages HandsOn volunteers in both learning and service opportunities. Every TeamWorks program is unique, with a different duration and focus that allows volunteers to gain a more in depth understanding of local community issues.

TeamWorks in Spring/Summer 2012 had a focus on the Environment. TeamWorks:RVAhydro explored water quality in Richmond and the implications of not addressing that issue. Projects were led by Chesterfield County Department of Environmental Engineering, James River Park System, and the James River Advisory Council.

A group of 12 – 15 individuals served Richmond while gaining a better understanding of the issues our city and its people face. The series included 3 service projects and an introductory kickoff event, concluding with a wrap up session at the end of the last project.
