Free a Tree- Pony Pasture Park
The JRPS Invasive Plant Task Force is organizing some events to mark NISAW while bringing attention to the problem of invasive plants in Richmond and to our work in the park system. Volunteers will girdle English ivy and wintercreeper infestations on trees (and do some ground removal around trees) along main paths near entrance. Signs and volunteer guides will direct you to location. Wear sturdy shoes and work gloves. Bring your favorite loppers and/or hand saw if you have them, if not, JRPS will provide tools.
