Host a Used Shoes and/or Clothing Drive
Getting Started:
1. Register your shoe drive here
2. Market your drive via the flyers, FAQ’s and email/social media messaging. You can also utilize our resources page for additional items to support your drive such as videos and pictures.
3. Optional: We offer branded collection boxes. This box is not meant to store or transport shoes – rather line it with a garbage bag, pull out when it is full, then replace with another bag. They can be purchased here: https://soles4souls.org/store/Collection-Boxes-c37344357
*NOTE – Some shoe drives ask local businesses to host a box. If they agree, the shoe drive representative assumes responsibility for making sure shoes are collected from the box periodically or as needed. The business can get free marketing and get a spot on our drop-off locator page. If they would like this, please send me the business name, address, hours of operation, website and contact information.
4. Start collecting! Communicate that shoes must be paired by tying the laces or using rubber-bands. No more than 10 pairs per garbage bag. Any clothing donations should be in separate securely tied garbage bags. Do NOT put paper donor forms in each bag which you will see instructed on several generic communications. Our VA operations are slightly different.
5. Follow Soles4Souls VA on Facebook and Instagram @soles4soulsva. Feel free to tag us in any pictures or send my way via email and I can make a post about your drive if you’d like! You can also share your story with us here to get featured on the primary Soles4Souls social media pages: https://soles4souls.org/share-your-story/
6. You can drop-off at the end of your drive or throughout. That is totally up to you! When you’re ready, schedule your drop-offs by following the below directions. IF the location below does not work, we have several others that might so please let me know and I will give alternate directions. Submit ONE digital donor form per drop-off with your shoe totals: https://soles4souls.org/digital-donor-form
7. Optional: Help us put new shoes on feet that need them most by making a fundraising page. Go here, choose ‘start fundraising’, create your page and share: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/s4sgive
Soles4Souls Donation Centers:

• Do NOT forget to Submit ONE digital donor form per drop-off with your shoe totals so we have record of your donation and can send you a proper ‘thank you’: https://soles4souls.org/digital-donor-form
• Our regular hours are Monday-Friday from 6am-3pm for drop-offs. Please email virginia@soles4souls.org with a 24 hour notice.
• You can bring your shoes any time and place in the donation bin by our dock if you do not need assistance. Please make sure you followed the steps above for packing up the shoes collected. Email virginia@soles4souls.org if you choose to put in the bin and include a picture.
• Directions: Soles4Souls is in a shared building. It is behind a long chain linked fence with a ton of semi trucks and a large warehouse. Make a right when you come into the parking lot and go all the way to the end of the building where our warehouse is located.
Additional Things to Note:
• We accept clothing as well! It is a big need of ours so please consider asking people to donate clothes as well. All you need to do is make sure the clothing is in separate garbage bags from the shoes.
Here is the impact an entrepreneur can make with the sale of 1, 20 or 30 pairs of shoes: 1 pair of shoes can provide 5 meals for Marie-Ange and her family in Haiti, 20 pairs of shoes can provide a year’s worth of shelter for Ginette and her family in Haiti and 30 pairs of shoes can provide a year’s worth of schooling for Tracy’s daughter in Honduras.
