Cancer Comfort Bags for Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center
The Cancer Program at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center works with children and adults who have been diagnosed with different stages and types of cancer.
These Comfort Kits will be given to those who are being treated in their facilities to keep their spirits up as they wait, rest, or endure uncomfortable interventions.
What you need:
Finished comfort bags can be donated to Bon Secours directly contact Janet Meyer at Janet_Meyer@bshsi.org) or dropped off to the Department of Community Resources by April 27th at 5pm to be donated on your group’s behalf.

What you need:
- A gift bag
- Lip balm
- Life savers
- Lemon drops
- Comfy socks
- Gum
- Writing paper or journals
- Crossword/Sudoku/Adult coloring books
- Color pencils
- Hand lotion
- Encouraging cards with phrases such as:
- Wishing you well!
- Take extra good care!
- Here’s to you have a steadier, stronger and better day!
- Make an assembly line with the other people at the table.
- Have one person put in each item until the bags have one of each.
- Make sure the bag has all of the required parts. Place the bags in the box when they are finished
