MAKING A DIFFERENCE ON MLK DAY!
HandsOn Greater Richmond, Richmond Public Schools, University of Richmond - Bonner Center for Civic Engagement and Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities join together for an MLK Day School Supply Drive. Community members can join together to support RPS by collecting and donating school supplies, which will be distributed to RPS schools in January 2019. "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of true education."--Martin Luther King, Jr. Drop off location: RPS Teacher Supply Store, located in the former Norrell Elementary School Media Center at 2120 Fendall Avenue, Richmond, VA. Volunteers can bring any combination of the needed items below. Please sign up below and plan to bring at least 5 items.
