Cornerstone Farm Invasive Plant Removal
Our mission: Transforming community health, wealth, and vitality by re-imagining our relationships to food and farming. Volunteers will remove non-native invasive plants along the boundary edge of our farm. These plants are smothering out other beneficial native plants from thriving and will be cut and dug using hand tools in order to prevent them growing back in the future. Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes, long pants and shirt sleeves and bring a refillable water bottle and any necessary sunscreen. We will provide leather gloves and tools. This project is youth and family friendly but please no large groups of youth without adults. Join us after for a celebration of Earth Day and National Volunteer Week with a community potluck picnic with games and live music. Free and family friendly, but please RSVP for the picnic.
