Do YOU have the drive?
The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond (a non-profit organization) is seeking volunteers to provide seniors with round-trip transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores, on an ongoing basis, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Volunteer on your own schedule. Choose when, where and who you will drive. Select assignments online using Ride Scheduler, which makes it SO easy to fit volunteering into active lives. Our clients are mobile (though some use canes and walkers), interesting (oh, the stories you will hear!), cheerful folks. For a variety of reasons they just don’t drive anymore and are so appreciative of the friendly assistance offered to them. Together, we make a positive impact on a key, and often unknown, social issue facing seniors in Richmond - inadequate transportation.
Background checks required.
