Summer Intramural Games
The Virginia Home is a long term nursing facility for adults with physical disabilities. Our residents are active, adventurous and love to have fun. Each summer we hold our Summer Intramural games consisting of Kickball, Baseball and Bowling tournaments. Each month is dedicated to one of the three sports. Four teams are formed and each team battles to hold the title as champion for each sport.
Volunteers are greatly needed for each game to assist those that need pushing either around the bases or for their turn to bowl. This is a hands-on volunteer request and we ask that you are physically able to push a wheelchair and be on your feet for 1.5 hours. Perfect for groups and families. We do ask that children under the age of 16 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult and no one under the age of 10 may participate in the activity. (All games are in our gym)
Age Minimum (with Adult): 10+, Minimum Age:16+
