Heartland Hospice is Looking for You! We are recruiting for kind and compassionate people to serve as Friendly Visitors for our clients. Hospice patients are receiving palliative and comfort care services in the final stages of their terminal illness. A friendly visitor can make a wonderful difference in a person's day!
General tasks may include- helping your client read their favorite passages, books, or daily newspaper, helping your client with life review, scrapbooking, art at the bedside, music at the bedside, walking with them (or pushing their wheelchair) outside for some air, bringing them flowers or surprises, and other creative ways to bring them dignity.
We provide full training in Hospice philosophy and volunteer duties. Orientation and on-going training provided! Background and reference check required.
Counties Served: Richmond City, Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, New Kent, Powhatan, Colonial Heights City, Hopewell City, Petersburg City, Louisa, Amelia, Caroline, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, King and Queen, King William, Prince George
