Doggie Cool Down Station Volunteer
For over 25 years, Enrichmond—a non-profit organization—has supported the City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities through citizen involvement, education, and fundraising. The Richmond Dog Festival acts as a fundraiser for the Enrichmond Foundation and help move our mission forward.
Please join us during Richmond's Dog Festival from 10:30AM- 4:30 PM, and be in charge of Enrichmond's Doggie Cool Down Station! We ask that you stay at the station for the duration of your volunteer shift. Should you need to leave to use the restroom or grab a bite to eat, please make sure there is someone to stand in for you until you return.
There are two parts of the Doggie Cool Down Station that need your management:
Water Bowls & Fans:
There will be 20 water bowls for dogs to drink out of, and three large fans for dogs to stand in fornt of. Your job is to make sure the water bowls stay full/fresh. You will have three large buckets of water to keep the water bowls stay full/fresh. You will have three large buckets of water to keep the water bowls full. These buckets can be re-filled using the hose at the Dog Wash Station (also part of the Cool Down Station).
Please also make sure the fans stay plugged into the power strips and that they are running the whole time.
