Join Us at Chesterfield County Prekindergarten Application Events!
This is a fun, yet very busy event, for people who love the energy of children and want to help others!
Chesterfield County Public Schools holds several application events for families to apply for Prekindergarten services. Unfortunately, there are limited PreK spots in Chesterfield County and priority is given to children with the highest need. This requires a very thorough application process, and many families attend these events in hopes of having their child selected to attend a PreK classroom. Many volunteers are needed to help these events go smoothly for our families in attendance. Some of the areas of need include: greeting families, helping families get all paperwork in order to apply, playing with children in the toy area, serving as a runner between stations, helping families navigate the stations, etc..We are looking for volunteers who love to help others and are flexible with how they can help as needs change during our busy events.Each volunteer will be trained for the role in which they are assigned. We greatly appreciate our volunteers. We know parents are missing time at their jobs to be present at the application events. Volunteers are instrumental in helping the process be more efficient for our families.(You will want to wear comfortable clothes AND comfortable shoes).
Age Minimum (with Adult): 14+, Minimum Age:18+
