Science Museum Plantings

When you are volunteering, please follow these tips for healthy volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond emphasizes the importance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and not volunteering if you don't feel well.

Please join TreeLab

at the Science Museum of Virginia!

TreeLab is a branch of the Enrichmond Foundation that grows trees and plants to beautify and improve public spaces in the city of Richmond. TreeLab is continuing further work on the Protopath with the Science Museum of Virginia. This pedestrian pathway will be a wonderful public space for walking, biking, or enjoying a meal.

If we are able to get all of the remaining trees planted before the end of the volunteer shift, we will use trash pickers to pick up trash surrounding the Protopath.

Over the course of 2 volunteer days we will be planting close to 100 native trees and shrubs to help create more tree canopy and provide better habitats for birds and other wildlife. Your volunteer time is crucial to the success of this project. Volunteers please complete a Volunteer Agreement before the volunteer day, and sign in onsite when you arrive to volunteer.
