Friends of Pocahontas State Park Historic Cabin Repairs
Pocahontas State Park was established in 1946 and built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Many of the original buildings still stand today and continue to be used by hundreds of visitors each year. After generations of use, the cabins are in dire need of updating, reparations, and upkeep to continue being used. This project will include tasks such as scraping old paint, priming and/or painting the historic cabins and dining halls.
