SHC Emergency Food Bank Volunteers Needed
El Centro Sagrado Corazón busca a voluntarixs para apoyar a nuestro banco de comida.
SHC is looking for volunteers who have some Spanish speaking skills to support our food bank!

El Centro continúa apoyando a nuestra comunidad a través del banco de comida. Las familias pueden venir al Centro los martes y jueves sin cita para recoger alimentos. Las familias entrarán al estacionamiento y se acercarán a la ventana junto a la segunda puerta a la izquierda. SHC está buscando voluntarios que hablen español para ayudar a administrar despensas de comida.
Las tareas incluyen:
- Completar un breve formulario para las familias
- Empacar comida
- Cargar despensas de comida afuera
- Organizar donaciones
- Y otras tareas
Horario de los turnos:
- Lunes: 12:30pm – 2:30pm (organizar donaciones)
- Martes: 11am– 7pm (turnos cada ~2 horas)
- Jueves: 11am – 7pm (turnos cada ~2 horas)
*** Estamos practicando protocolos de seguridad que incluyen: practicando distanciamiento físico, limitando la cantidad de personas en el banco de alimentos, lavando las manos y usando tapabocas en todo momento. *** POR FAVOR NO venga si no se siente bien.

Sacred Heart Center continues to serve our community through our food bank for families. Families can come to SHC Tuesday and Thursday without an appointment to pick up food. Families will enter through the gate, into the parking lot, and approach the window next to the second door on the left. SHC is looking for volunteers who have some Spanish speaking skills to help run our food bank.
Tasks include:
- Completing a short intake form for families (Spanish skills required)
- Pack groceries
- Carry groceries outside
- Sort/organize food donations
- Other tasks as they arise
Shift Hours:
- Monday: 12:45pm – 2:45pm (organize donations only)
- Tuesday: 11am - 7pm (shifts are ~2 hours each)
- Thursday: 11am - 7pm (shifts are ~2 hours each)
***We are enforcing safety protocols which include: physical distancing, limiting the number of people in the food bank, handwashing, and wearing a mask at all times!!*** PLEASE do NOT come if you are not feeling well.
