Bilingual (Spanish/English) Family Support Line Volunteer (Remote)
RPS is committed to providing specialized support to families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Families that need answers (in English or Spanish) about food, technology, translation services, Pre-K registration, etc., are invited to call our Family Support Line. We are looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers who can help support the RPS Family Support Line by answering calls from families!
Volunteers will be assigned to provide phone coverage on the district's Family Support Line (Spanish Line) to answer general questions and connect callers to resources. Volunteers will be expected to work a minimum of 2 hours per day between 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Volunteers will participate in virtual onboarding sessions, team huddles and check-ins to build their capacity for these duties.
- Successful volunteers will meet the following criteria:
- Speaks fluent Spanish
- Access to a laptop/desktop computer
- Internet access
- Comfortable with technology such as: laptop/desk top computer, Google, navigating the web
- Customer service and/or call center experience is preferred
