Habitat Restoration at Reedy Creek
Join The James River Park System as we tackle removing invasive plants from Reedy Creek. We will be focusing on removing English Ivy, Winter Creeper and other invasive plants. Be a part of this initiative to help restore The James River Park's natural habitat and tree canopy! Volunteers will be using small hand tools such as loppers and hand saws. All tools and gloves will be provided by JRPS. Please feel free to bring your favorite tool from home and a pair of gloves that you already own. Please bring water and a snack, wear closed toe shoes and dress comfortably for the weather. We will be outside the entirety of the project. We look forward to working with you!
PLEASE NOTE: Park in the Reedy Creek parking lot, walk over the railroad tracks and take a right through the black chain link fence. Continue walking to our meet up location which will be the gray building on your left.
