Help Maintain our Petersburg Greenspace Day
The Wilcox Watershed Conservancy is dedicated to restoring and preserving the over three hundred acres of woods, water, parklands , and fields in Petersburg Legends Historical Park and Nature Conservancy. Volunteers are needed to maintain the greenspaces of the park.
Volunteers will:
- Pick up trash and debris
- Cut brush or raking leaves
- Clean the historic information markers placed throughout the walking areas of the park.
- Hike through the park to see the conditions of the historic trails and determine if any further maintenance is needed for future projects.
Volunteers should wear layers of warm clothing, preferably work boot type shoes, and if possible - eye goggles and work gloves. The Willcox Watershed Conservancy (WWC) will provide drinks, snacks, souvenir T shirts, necessary tools and trash bags.
