Rock The Restore
When you are volunteering, please follow these tips for healthy volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond emphasizes the importance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and not volunteering if you don't feel well.
Rock the ReStore volunteers will help in the daily operation of the ReStore!
Duties include, but are not limited to, unloading donated household items, organizing and cleaning donations, placing items on the sales floor, maintaining the cleanliness & organization of the store, and assisting customers with carry-outs after purchase. A little something for everyone!
Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world - a good deal for you, your community and the environment.
Every Second Saturday a group of 4 comes out to the Richmond restore to help organize, clean, and merchandise the store. We can't wait for you to come out and help us!
Minimum Age Requirements: Any volunteers under the age of 18 MUST have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian, and are NOT able to use power tools or ladders over 4 feet.
- 14 and 15 Years Old: Volunteers that are age 14 and 15 can volunteer, but MUST have an adult volunteer with them; this adult volunteer MUST also be signed up for a shift and volunteering with the youth. If the adult volunteer does not adhere to this policy, we will have to send the youth volunteer home.
Clothing: Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing that they don't mind getting dirty.
