Did you know that 80 percent of males in federal and state prisons do not have a high school diploma? There is a direct correlation with a lack of high school education and incarceration. But even being a high school graduate doesn’t open up the doors to many rewarding careers as it did in past generations. These days, you need post high school education to secure the career that you want. Whether that post education is college or trade school, it will bring you a more rewarding, better paying career that you can be happy with. This is where Saving Our Youth comes in. Our programs help youth stay in school so they can proudly walk down the aisle to receive their high school diplomas, but we go further than that, we work with them to help them further their education to secure that more rewarding, better paying job to excape the circle of poverty most of them live in now. Please consider joining the board and being a part of this amazing mission.
