Mission Tomorrow Navigators
Mission Tomorrow is the Richmond region’s interactive career exploration event for 8th graders. Through an interactive series of activities and discussions with employers, 12,000 8th graders from 8 localities will explore career interests and in-demand jobs from more than 100 businesses in our region. For Mission Tomorrow to be successful, we need your help! Navigators will: • Welcome, usher, and direct student groups through the expo • Keep a welcoming attitude and encourage students to engage with exhibitors • Answer questions and address emergencies/accidents • Record schedule and times • Direct groups/individuals to restrooms All volunteers should be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Volunteers will sign up for a specific role, but should be flexible in the event that they are re-assigned to a new task within their shift. Volunteers will receive on-site instruction at the beginning of their shift and a t-shirt. Thank you for helping us connect area students to information and opportunities that will assist them in deciding on coursework pathways for their high school years and beyond.
