Volunteer Leaders Needed
Our Volunteer Leader (VL) program consists of a group of dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers who we train to lead projects in the community, exponentially increasing the reach of volunteerism in our region! You can make a difference every month by exploring a community need and leading others in service, all while learning new skills, getting access to special professional development opportunities, and interacting with fellow leaders in meetups and socials year round. Volunteer Leaders serve a year-long term.
VL opportunities include:
-Uncovering History with Virginia Roots. Volunteers will help clear away trash and invasive plant species at an abandoned, historic African-American cemetery and uncover history by discovering hidden gravesites. This project will occur one Saturday of each month from 9am - 12pm.
