Earth Day Richmond Unload/Breakdown

The Enrichmond Foundation serves Richmond's people, parks, and public spaces. It acts as a fiscal agent and umbrella non-profit organization for over 100 "friends" groups that include civic associations, outdoor enthusiasts, garden and history groups, and other citizen-based groups whose primary interest is to maintain, restore, preserve, or improve Richmond’s public recreational resources. The Earth Day Richmond Festival brings Central Virginia's premiere Earth Day celebration to the Great Shiplock Park on the riverfront in Shockoe Bottom.

Volunteers are needed in the morning to help unload vendor cars, set up tables, tents, trash cans, ticket areas, signs, etc. Volunteers must be comfortable with medium lifting, carrying, and moving. In the afternoon, you will load cars, break down booths, and generally clean up. Volunteers are crucial to the success of this event, since Enrichmond has a very small staff. There is no parking at the festival. Plan to arrive early enough to park and ride the shuttle to the location. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes starting at 7:45 am, so plan accordingly. See your My Account after registration for important parking instructions.

The morning shift is unload. The afternoon shift is breakdown.

All volunteers who plan to attend must be registered. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our Volunteer with a Group page.

If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project. The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.
Registration for this project will close the Friday before.
