5th District Cleanup

Richmond City Council is committed to creating a vibrant community that is a great place to live, work, learn, play, visit, and raise a family. In alignment with Richmond City Council's vision, Councilman Parker Agelasto is hosting clean-ups with 5th District Neighborhoods and Civic Associations. The work is primarily picking up litter, but may also include mulching and planting flowers, painting, and other tasks as needed to help beautify the neighborhoods. Volunteers will visit a different neighborhood in the 5th district each month and residents of the 5th are strongly encouraged to attend. Volunteers will meet in a central location and be sent on foot to different cleanup areas. The Volunteer Leader will communicate the exact meeting location as the date for each project gets closer if it is not listed after sign up.  This is a family friendly project. Wear clothes for being outside and comfortable shoes.

Neighborhood Schedule:
April – Uptown & Fan Neighborhood
June – Oregon Hill & Randolph Neighborhood
July – Stadium & Carytown South Neighborhood
September – Swansboro West Neighborhood
October – Woodland Heights & Swansboro Neighborhood

All volunteers who plan to attend must be registered. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our Volunteer with a Group page.

If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project.
The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.
