Free a Tree- Pony Pasture Park

The JRPS Invasive Plant Task Force is organizing some events to mark NISAW while bringing attention to the problem of invasive plants in Richmond and to our work in the park system. Volunteers will girdle English ivy and wintercreeper infestations on trees (and do some ground removal around trees) along main paths near entrance. Signs and volunteer guides will direct you to location. Wear sturdy shoes and work gloves. Bring your favorite loppers and/or hand saw if you have them, if not, JRPS will provide tools.

See more about what and where invasives are here: http://www.jamesriverpark.org/invasives/index.php

This opportunity is a referral and is managed by JRPS directly. Please express interest below to indicate to the agency your interest in participating. All volunteers who plan to attend must express interest. This includes youth.

If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our "Volunteer With a Group" page, under "Ways to Volunteer."

**Please note, your attendance hours may not be recorded in your HandsOn Greater Richmond account since this is a partner-managed opportunity.
