Opportunity Details
Spruce the Sprout
YWCA of Richmond is a 130-year-strong nonprofit organization serving families in Central Virginia. We are on a mission to empower women, children, and their families to live their best lives. Volunteer tasks: Painting in 4 bathrooms, hanging new bulletin boards for art work and assembling ribbons for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Sprucing up the bathrooms and hanging bulletin boards give the school a new look for our youngest clients. Assembling the ribbons will help us bring awareness to Domestic Violence as we go to several engagements in the month of October. Parking is on the street and is free on the weekends. Wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty and bring your own water. This project is a part of our regional day of service, Give a Day RVA. Registration will close 24 hours in advance.
