CLOSED DIY School Supply Kits
Registration for all DIY projects is now closed. Participate in Give a Day RVA without having to go anywhere September 23. DIY volunteering is something you can make or do at home to benefit a local nonprofit. Issue: Schools Purpose: Many of the students we serve show up for school without the supplies needed to be successful. Something as simple as a lack of basic school supplies can derail a student from the road to graduation. We want to provide them with everything they need to start the school year off right! Directions: Fill a backpack or a 2 gallon ziploc bag with: -2 single subject spiral notebooks -2 composition books -1 pack blue or black pens -1 pack #2 pencils -1 eraser -2 highlighters -2 glue sticks Volunteers should make a minimum of 10 bags. Deadline and Delivery: 1) Registration will close by Monday morning, Sept 18 2) Sign up yourself or your team below 3) You will receive the address once you register. Deliver items to the HandsOn Office at any of these times: Wed, Sept 20, 5-7pm Thurs, Sept 21, 5-7pm Fri, Sept 22, 12-2pm 4) Every person who plans to volunteer (including youth) must sign up. You can create a volunteer team to sign up your group or family members. Read about how to create and manage teams. Registered participants will receive 4 hours for submitting materials as noted above.
