Guts and Glory
Proceeds from the Richmond Corporate Games of Innsbrook will benefit Special Olympics Virginia. Corporate teams meet outside the workplace to bring their team spirit and best effort for a fun competition at one of Innsbrook’s signature events, the annual Richmond Corporate Games. It’s a good time had by all as teams from all over Richmond vie for the championship and bragging rights through a series of friendly competitions like the Zany Relay, Obstacle Challenge, 500-Yard Relay and everyone’s favorite event, the grand finale traditional tug-of-war. Each competition requires a wide variety of skills – strength, speed, coordination and good old-fashioned teamwork. Volunteer tasks: May serve as line judges, help us make sure teams are competing within rules of each competition, time runners with stop watch, setup crew to help us transition between competitions. All volunteers receive a t-shirt, beverage ticket, and lunch. We will be outside, so comfortable clothes are suggested, as well as sunscreen/hat. Volunteers should bring their own water and water bottles and a t-shirt will be available on site for all volunteers. Parking is available in the lot next to the field. This project will still occur if there is rain.
This project is a part of our regional day of service, Give a Day RVA. Registration will close 24 hours in advance.
