George Mason ES Clean and Landscaping
Facility Improvement Projects are a primary focus for volunteer opportunities for RPS, as the condition of facilities impacts student learning and achievement. Beautification, cleaning and site improvement are ways the community can contribute. Volunteers will participate in cleaning and landscaping tasks to make the entrances and walkways more inviting. Volunteer tasks: Landscape entrances and walkways. Remove weeds and debris. Deep clean building. Other tasks as needed. At least 20 adults are needed for this project, so family groups should not sign up more than a few youth. Volunteers should bring their own water, and if working outside: sunscreen and bug spray. This project will still occur if there is rain. The rain plan will differ somewhat from the original tasks.This project is a part of our regional day of service, Give a Day RVA. Registration will close 24 hours in advance.
