The vision: Overby-Sheppard Elementary will be a catalyst for inspiring lifelong learners by empowering students to be critical, reflective, and analytical thinkers who demonstrate confidence, responsibility, and respect in a collaborative, high-quality learning community. The mission of Richmond Public Schools is the statement that we recite in our learning community and we affirm as a family the tenets included in our daily affirmation: The mission is to lead our students to extraordinary, honorable lives as inspirational global leaders who shape the future with intellect, integrity, and compassion, through challenging, engaging learning experiences guided by highly-qualified, passionate educators in partnership with families and communities.
