To profoundly influence young people’s lives through exceptional performing arts education.
SPARC programs provide transformative performing arts education to over 3,000 students each year. Through Creative Youth Development initiatives, SPARC’s highly skilled teaching artists intentionally integrate the arts with youth development principles. Students discover their creativity and build critical learning and life skills that carry into adulthood.
Some of our most robust volunteer opportunities live in our Live Art program. Live Art is an inclusive arts program that celebrates students with and without disabilities. Each year, Live Art students build friendships, communication skills, and an appreciation of each other’s differences while rehearsing in a variety of visual and performing arts classes. Live Art is an expression of SPARC’s commitment to the movement of inclusion, creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy for our students to carry into the community.
