Organization Profile

The mission of Chesterfield CASA is to promote safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children by providing trained volunteers to advocate for them throughout their involvement in the juvenile court process. As trained advocates, CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for children in Court. CASA volunteers gather information about an abused or neglected child's history, living situation, and needs. They visit the child regularly and interview the child's family, social worker, therapist, or teacher and then submit a written report of their findings to the Court. CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of a child and for a safe loving home where he or she can thrive.
