Clean Fan Parks
The Fan District Association is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and betterment of the Fan's urban community. FDA coordinates Clean the Parks each fall. There are 7 pocket parks in the Fan that need a good cleaning, and HandsOn volunteers will go to 2 of them (half will go to Meadow Park and half to Lombardy Park). The FDA partners with the city to get mulch delivered and pick up debris. The activities generally include spreading mulch, pulling weeds, planting and other cleanup work. Although each Park has a Park Steward and a core set of volunteers, the work load is typically overwhelming and we could use additional volunteers.

This project will still occur in the event of rain. Please dress accordingly.
All volunteers who plan to attend must be registered, either as an individual, or via the team functionality. This includes youth. To learn more about our Team Functionality, please view our Volunteer with a Group page.
If allowed on the project, any youth volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a parent-signed youth waiver to the project. The waiver can be found after sign up on the confirmation page or by visiting our Volunteer with Youth page.
Volunteers will:
- trim bushes
- pull weeds and plant new vegetation
- lay and replace mulch
- pick up trash
- shovel/rake sand
