Grantmaking Overview
The Community Foundation maintains a solid commitment to build a strong and sustainable network of local nonprofits. Community organizations are important partners in understanding the needs of our community and where our collective resources can be useful. We not only provide funding opportunities, but also facilitate collaborations, connections and leadership programs that help nonprofits achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness. We are the largest community foundation in Virginia and the third-largest in the southeast — giving us the potential to do even greater good.
Community Impact Grants - Richmond
Our Community Impact grants support nonprofits whose strategies and outcomes align with our four focus areas: community vibrancy, economic prosperity, educational success, and health and wellness.
Community Grants - Affiliates
Together with our Affiliate foundations, we award grants to nonprofits with the goal of supporting healthy, vibrant communities where all residents can thrive.
Community Partner Grants
Together with our private and public sector partners, we are invested in building a strong and sustainable community of nonprofit organizations through which we address the economic mobility needs of our community.
