Manchester Climbing Wall Cleanup
Come join the Friends of the James River Park as we tackle a large trash cleanup at the future site of the Dam Walk that will soon connect Manchester to downtown Richmond. Construction is about to begin and we need to get in there and clean it up before they get started. Help us keep our river city beautiful!
Volunteers should wear warm, comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. All supplies will be provided. Please be aware that there is a lot of uneven ground so you will need to take precaution while participating. The Friends of the James River Park is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization created by a dedicated group of citizens in 1999. Our mission is to provide an ongoing source of citizen support for the conservation, enhancement, and enjoyment of the 550-acre James River Park System and its natural and historic environments.
This opportunity is a referral and is managed by James River Park System directly. Please express interest below to indicate to the agency your interest in participating.
All volunteers who plan to attend must express interest. This includes youth. If the post indicates adults must be present, youth and adults must register using the team functionality. To learn more about our team functionality, please view our "Volunteer With a Group" page, under "Ways to Volunteer."
**Please note, your attendance hours may not be recorded in your HandsOn Greater Richmond account since this is a partner-managed opportunity.
