The Mission of Art for the Journey is to transform lives through art and community.
* Art for the Journey provides regular programs for school age children and youth, seniors living in long term care, people with dementia or Alzheimer's, veterans living with combat related PTSD or other disabilty, cancer survivors, medical students, incarcerated women, women in recovery and more. * Art for the Journey also produces an educational TV show, The Creative Corner, which is aired on VPM and available on PBS.org learning media. Many volunteer opportunities are available in schools, in assisted living sites, at the Virginia War Memorial, and throughout Richmond. Art for the Journey delivers programs with supportive volunteers and use best practice approaches to promote positive mental health and well-being through art-making.
