Board Member
The Richmond Volleyball Club (RVC) is seeking members for its Board of Directors. RVC has been part of the greater Richmond community since 1981. We are dedicated to providing a lifetime of opportunity through the sport of volleyball by promoting interest in the sport, teaching and developing skills and techniques, and fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, an an appreciation for health and wellness. We have about 3,000 members, age 5 to 73.
The Board of Directors meets every other month and supports activities of the organization based on individual interests. RVC has 17 full time staff to carry out day-to-day functions. Terms begin in March and are 3 years. For those expressing interest outside of the nomination cycle, we encourage participation on one of our committees. No volleyball knowledge is necessary. While many of our current board members are either participants or have children who are participants, we welcome independent members who can provide a fresh perspective.
