Mulch a growing Forest at Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center

When you are volunteering, please follow these tips for healthy volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond emphasizes the importance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and not volunteering if you don't feel well.

A new forest of loblolly pine trees, bald cypress, and other native trees has been planted at Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center.  The Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities needs your help to help keep the baby trees healthy in summer months!  We've got mulch, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, and rakes, and we need some strong volunteers to help us create mulch islands around these happy trees.  Please join us on Saturday, May 8th from 9 am - 11:30 am for some fun and some exercise in this beautiful park!  Donuts and water provided.  Please bring your own pair of work gloves.
