Food Pantry Delivery Driver
We are excited to announce a new volunteer opportunity to support food access to those who are homebound or non-mobile. We are looking for volunteers who are familiar with the Richmond area to deliver food pantry boxes out to community members in need.
Volunteers must be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays 9:30am-12pm.
Must volunteer at least once a week for one month.
Volunteers will need to have their own reliable car
Must be comfortable using a personal cell phone to alert clients of their arrival.
Volunteer must be able to lift at least 30lbs
Volunteers will have limited in-person contact with staff and clients to limit the risk of exposure to covid-19. Upon arriving and dropping off boxes, volunteers must wear a face mask and will not need to enter any clients homes. This is a great opportunity to get to know your community and to say hi to your neighbors while social distancing! Volunteers are also granted volunteer hours as needed.
To apply to this volunteer position, complete the application and the Program Coordinator will contact you once she has received and reviewed your application to schedule a virtual training date and time.
