Help SOAR365 Distribute Some Joy to the People We Serve!
Join SOAR365 for this fun and meaningful kit distribution event!
What’s a kit distribution event? 250 We Miss You kits containing items such as clay pots, seeds, activity books, art supplies, and sensory items have been assembled and are ready for distribution to the individuals we serve. Individuals have been invited to drive up to the SOAR365 entrance to collect their kits. Individuals will not need to exit their vehicles. Using an RSVP list, volunteers will check off names as individuals arrive, distribute their kits, and wish them a great day – simple!
What difference will these kits make? SOAR365 creates life-fulfilling opportunities for people with disabilities! Under normal circumstances, SOAR365 Day Programs for Adults and Children/Youth provide multiple opportunities each week for program participants to develop skills, engage in social interactions, participate in community integration activities, learn, grow, and have fun. Since mid-March, these programs have been closed due to the pandemic, and consequently, many of the participating individuals struggle with loneliness due to the isolation and lack of interaction opportunities. Many are also experiencing regression in skills due to the lack of external stimulation. These kits are designed to provide activities/stimulation as well as an opportunity for staff to say “We Miss You and Hope to See You Again Soon!”
