STORYTIME Mentor

When you are volunteering, please follow these tips for healthy volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond emphasizes the importance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and not volunteering if you don't feel well.

STORY is looking for mentors to help Hopewell students with emotional and social support activities in response to COVID-19.  At the request of Hopewell Public Schools we have adjusted our program and intend to provide students with 1-2 hours weekly with virtual activities.  Activities can include reading, helping with online educational games, arts and crafts, STEM activities and more.

Our signature program, the ML2 Youth Development program, focuses on increasing math and literacy skills by one grade level.  Due to the pandemic, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain this objective.  Volunteers are encouraged to have creative ideas to help students in these areas.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
