Gardens & Grounds Volunteer

Position Summary:
The Branch Museum seeks volunteers to assist in the care and maintenance of its gardens and facilities. Tasks will be seasonal in nature and may include yard work and light custodial duties.
Responsibilities/ Tasks
- weeding plant beds and bricked walkways
- mowing
- trimming
- raking
- shoveling snow
- picking up trash
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and arms. This position requires the ability to regularly lift and carry materials, equipment, products, and supplies.
Requirements:
Children and teens under the age of 18 will only be accepted if they are accompanied by an adult family member or guardian during the time they are on-site.
This opportunity is not appropriate for service groups seeking a one-time service opportunity. We are looking for an ongoing committment.
Supplies are provided, however, for yard work it is preferred if volunteers can provide their own work gloves.
