Meal Donation: Chef for a Day!
Circles RVA is a community-driven approach to breaking the cycle of poverty. Families who are surviving, not yet thriving, participate in Circles RVA to focus on establishing their own personal goals as they work towards self-sufficiency. Participants, referred to as Leaders, are paired with specific Allies who walk beside them as a souce of encourgament. Follow us on Facebook for more information!
Through the help of generous volunteers and donors, Circles RVA provides FREE dinners to our participants every Tuesday night... because sharing a meal together builds community!
Volunteers are needed to DONATE a meal that serves approximately 60-70 people (many of whom are children). Meals can be pretty uncomplicated. Examples of past meals have been packaged trays of chicken pot pies, spaghetti, sandwiches, etc.
Day: Tuesday
Location: RVA, Monroe Park Area
Time: Meal Donors have access to a kitchen but we would prefer that you cook/prepare your meal beforehand as much as possible. You will then arrive at Circles RVA between 5:00-5:30pm. Dinners are served cafeteria style at 6:00pm. You are welcome to share the meal with us after everyone has been served. At 7:00pm, help clean up the kitchen and the dining area. Then you're done for the night!
When you express interest, we will respond with additional details and a selection of dates for you to choose when it is convenient for you to serve. Thank you so much for volunteering and being part of our CIRCLES RVA family!
